Brigadier General Stirling MacLeod KGCS

Brigadier General (MA) Sterling “B-H” MacLEOD
Brigadier General (MA) MacLeod is a 36-year veteran of the United States Army, Massachusetts Army
National Guard and currently remains a member of the Massachusetts Organized Militia. He enlisted in the
United States Army in 1978 and served on active duty for four years as a Military Policeman. In 1983 he
received a commission as a Second Lieutenant of Field Artillery after completion of Officer Candidate School
at the Massachusetts Military Academy. Brigadier General (MA) MacLeod has served in a myriad of Field
Artillery and Human Resources staff assignments including: Company, Battalion and Brigade Fire Support
Officer; Battery, Battalion and Brigade Executive Officer; Assistant Professor of Military Science, Deputy
Chief of Staff for Personnel and Director of Personnel for the Massachusetts National Guard.
His previous command assignments include a Field Artillery Battery, a Self-Propelled Howitzer Battalion, a
Recruiting & Retention Battalion and at the Brigade level, the 51 st Troop Command and 54 th Massachusetts
Volunteer Regiment.
In 2005 Brigadier General (MA) MacLeod was mobilized in support of the Global War on Terror and
assigned to the United States Joint Forces Command located in Suffolk, Virginia and forward deployed to
Camp Victory, Baghdad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as a military analyst for the Joint Center
for Operational Analysis and further attached to Task Force Troy, the Counter Improvised Explosive Devise
effort of XVIII Airborne Corps.
His awards and decorations include: the Distinguished Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious
Service Medal (with Silver and Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters), the Iraq Campaign Medal (with two Bronze
Campaign Stars), the Kyrgyz Republic Armed Forces Commemorative Medal and the Massachusetts Military
Medal for Heroism.
Brigadier General (MA) Macleod’s senior military education includes:

National Security Fellow, Maxwell School, Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York
The Joint Task Force Commander’s Course, NORTHCOM, Colorado Springs, Colorado

The United States Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania
Leadership in Homeland Security Certificate, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts
Brigadier General (MA) MacLeod holds Masters Degrees in Business Administration and Strategic Studies
and currently resides in Lakeville, Massachusetts with his wife Doreen and their son Sterling II.

Captain Chris Watson

Captain Chris Watson served for a total of 15 years in the British Armed Forces, both in the Regular and Reserve components. During his service, he completed two tours in Afghanistan, including participation in Operation Panther’s Claw, and took part in numerous training exercises across Kenya, Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom. He also served as an instructor in Morocco (PRT) and later worked in contracting operations in Iraq.

 

Over the years, Captain Watson has served with the Royal Navy, the Sea Cadet Corps (SCC), and the Combined Cadet Force (CCF), with his final instructor posting being with the Royal Air Force Air Cadets (RAFAC). He has also been involved with the Royal Volunteer Naval Service (RVNS).

 

Captain Watson currently works in Emergency Medical Services (EMS), continuing his dedication to service and public safety.
