Mission statement 

Background - The WRAF was enacted 13 May 2025 by Grand Duke Travis. I'm both humbled and fortunate
to be appointed Air Marshal of Westartica holding the WRAF senior officer position as Group Captain.
WRAF Primary Mission - Uphold the Westartican constitutional environmental vision and observation of
climate change affecting animal life through the use of observation aircraft. Grand Duke Travis as Air
Chief Marshal shall also employ the WRAF as needed.
WRAF Secondary Mission - WRAF aircraft shall support research stations in Antarctica. Observation
aircraft unlike satellites (cost prohibitive) and drones (comm link challenges) can obtain useful near “boots
on the ground” equivalent information. Providing real time information on Westarctica and to our southern
hemisphere neighbors shall build global trust and mutual respect.( interested in joining? sdrakem@aol.com)

Gp Capt MacLeod’s military career began in June 1978 as a private in the US Army. Initial training took
place at Ft Knox, KY and Ft Rucker, AL. He served as a UH-1D/H helicopter crew chief and door gunner
with assignments at Ft Lewis, WA., Camp Page, South Korea, Ft Ord, CA., and Camp Edwards, MA.
In 1985 he received a USAF commission as a 2nd Lt upon graduation from Officer Training School,
Lackland AFB, TX. Gp Capt then received training at Chanute AFB, IL as an Aircraft Maintenance
Officer. For the next 20 years Gp Capt MacLeod served in the USAF with assignments at Eglin AFB,
FL., Yokota AB, Japan, Hickam AFB, HI., Ramstein AB, Germany, Edwards AFB, CA., HQ USAF,
Pentagon, Wash. DC. Gp Capt MacLeod had several deployments including Panama, Malaysia, Guam,
South Korea, Philippines, and supporting operations in Southwest Asia and the Balkans.
Gp Capt MacLeod has held key leadership positions as Squadron Commander, HQ USAF Air Staff,
Pentagon, and PACAF Inspector General Team Member. Retiring from active duty as a Lt Col in 2005,
he then served 16 years as a contractor at HQ USAF in the Pentagon as a senior defense analyst.
In July 2021 Gp Capt MacLeod retired after 43 years with the military. Gp Capt MacLeod enjoys
retirement with wife Carol Schutte in New Hampshire. Both he and his wife were elected to the
prestigious position as “Hog Reevers” in Hampton Falls, NH for 2024. Gp Capt MacLeod also maintains
his FAA pilot’s license flying out of Hampton Airfield (7B3), NH.
